Jianglong Shipbuilding has successfully held the keel-laying ceremony for two 20-meter catamaran salmon aquaculture workboats. The two vessels mark the fourth batch of orders under the overall 12-boat contract signed with Norwegian client Moen Marin AS.

To date, two vessels from the total contract have been fully completed, with another four under simultaneous construction. The entire project portfolio is advancing steadily as scheduled.

The commencement ceremony was attended by Moen Marin AS representatives Mr. Kai, Mr. Tor Eric and Mr. Tomas, together with the Zhongshan ORIENT project team, equipment suppliers and Jianglong Shipbuilding’s project management team.

As a leading European enterprise in the global aquaculture equipment industry, Moen Marin AS maintains stringent qualification standards for manufacturing partners. Empowered by its robust shipbuilding capabilities, rigorous quality control systems and outstanding delivery performance on previous projects, Jianglong Shipbuilding has earned high recognition from its European client.

The deepened strategic cooperation serves as a key milestone for Jianglong’s expansion in the global high-end marine market. It further enhances the brand’s international reputation and core competitiveness across offshore support vessels, aquaculture workboats and port operation vessels.

Designed and built in strict accordance with DNV classification rules and Nordic industry standards, the 22-meter vessels feature a beam of 12 meters and a depth of 5.5 meters. Equipped with an advanced hybrid power system, the workboats balance excellent sailing performance and energy efficiency.

Fitted with four 132 kW high-power electric side thrusters and a DP-0 dynamic positioning system, the vessels enable precise station-keeping during operations. Offering ample deck space, they are capable of diversified tasks including aquaculture supply, cage maintenance, ROV underwater operations and anchor towing.
Engineered to adapt to the harsh and complex sea conditions of high-latitude Nordic waters, the vessels support all-weather, eco-friendly and high-efficiency marine operations.
